Robert E. Fletcher (who, prior to law school, was a Civil Rights documentary photographer) received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1990, and in 1991, he was admitted to practice in the State of New York. After working a few years with the New York City-based law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he worked on SEC compliance and large corporate financing matters, he joined Myron Finley (now retired) to form what became the law firm of Finley, Fletcher & Pilch, LLP. Mr. Fletcher was admitted to practice law in the state of Texas in 2004 and the states of Florida and New Jersey in 2005. He has assisted his business clients with various development, compliance and state and federal financing matters. Mr. Fletcher deals primarily with health care, corporate and general business (including business entity organization and general contract drafting and review), life planning, trademark and federal and state securities work. Mr. Fletcher is based in the New York office but travels back and forth between the Metropolitan New York Area and the firm's Clearwater, Florida office.
John D. Pilch joined the firm in 2004 as a partner. Mr. Pilch graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Education in 1988 and became a certified teacher in the Southfield Michigan school district. After several years of teaching, Mr. Pilch attended and graduated from the Detroit College of Law in 1996. After law school, Mr. Pilch worked for several years with the Southfield-based law firm of Ravid & Associates, specializing in automobile negligence and personal injury cases. Mr. Pilch then worked for several years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan, specializing in transactional work. Mr. Pilch handles general matters.
